Pollinator Ambassador Application

A UMN Bee Lab Pollinator Ambassador uses creativity, research, and passion to educate their community about pollinators and advocate for their wellbeing. They focus on connecting pollinators to other important issues like food production, climate change, and environmental justice. They utilize new skills and their own unique talents to find ways to get their communities excited about helping bees. They work with and represent the U of MN Bee Lab and are also connected to other community groups or organizations; they utilize these connections to reach new audiences and amplify their pollinator message.

Support:

You are encouraged to build on ideas, goals and needs identified by you and your community outside the Bee Lab so that the project is relevant and meaningful to you. Our UMN Bee Lab team will work with you to ensure that your project aligns with science and conservation best practices. You will work on your project independently; we will provide support and mentorship  as you develop your project. those goals.

Funding:

We do not want financial barriers to limit participation, and will provide funding to cover your time. Because projects will vary in the amount of time they take, funding may vary between projects (up to $5,000). Project outcomes must have a public outreach component (eg, event, art installation, class, community project).
